Blonde Ambition by Zoey Dean is a book similar to a reality television show like Beverly Hills 90210 or like Degrassi but it's in a book. Very strange, isn't it? Anyway, for just reading it for the first time, it really does seem like an interesting book and I've never expected to fall for a book, completely out of my reach. This book is really is something out of the orinary; something very unexpected to read about and I feel like in the future, Iwould like to persude myself to write a piece, similar to what this book is generally about.
Anna, supposely the main character in the book, (so far, from what I have learned) cheated on her boyfriend, lost her vriginity, and almost got fired because of her sister, who is now in rehabilitation. Even though it may sound like Anna is a total mess and can't really handle her situations well, in the book, they really didn't make a big deal out it, which really grabbed my attention. Anyway, so there's this girl name Cammie, which I would say would be hating on Anna and really dislikes her. For example, on pages 33- 34, the author's says, ( I forgot to tell you but the author is talking in the third person,)
" In the few weeks that Anna had been in Beverly Hills, she'd proved herself to be the kiss of death. Everything that she touches turned to s*** for Cammie. It was bad enough that Ben Birnbaum had dropped Cammie- the first guy who ever had- and then fallen haed for East Coast snot Ana. When that relationship fizzled almost before it began, Cammie was delighted. But now Sam was reporting that Ben and Anna were a couple again and Ben was claiming to be in love for the first time!
Which means that he never loved me, Cammie thought, a catch in her throat. F***ing Anna."
Honestly, I've felt the way Cammie felt, so I understand where she's coming from. It's a very discomfort feeling like you're just worthless. But Cammie should learn how to forgive, and forget. Anna really hasn't done anything to Cammie, (yet) and just to say that about her now, is truly crazy. It's just too early to say anything about Anna and just because her dad is Anna's boss, doesn't mean that in the future, she should ruin Anna's life. If I was Cammie, I would trey to get along with Anna, just to see what's she all about. It's not a bad thing to hate on a person but really, it is.
As a child, I remember my sister, always getting what she wanted, with no question asked, while me, on the other hand, wasn't that lucky. Everyone loved my sister, my cousin always wanted to be around her and in my opinion, she had it all. But me thinking like that didn't lead me anywhere. I just got more and more jealous and evil, I couldn't take it anymore so I would scream and yell at her but that lead me to nowhere either. What I needed to do, and what I still need to work on is forgiving and forgetting. I have a huge problem of holding onto the past, and not letting go. I honestly believe I get it from my father but that"s not the point. The point is that back then, I had the problem and didn't fix it, when I had time to. People like me, get use to their old habits so when they figure out later on in life, what's their problem, there's no way on fixing it, (in my opinion.) Cammie, now has a chance to fix, but who know what's going to happen. Hopefully, Cammie realizes what's she's doing and forgive, and forget.

Crank by Ellen Hopkins
Crank by Ellen Hopkins is a book where you can actually get the feel of what would happen if any teenager took drugs. It was based on a true story and to read something intense like that, really got me to think twice on my actions, when it came to having sex and stuff like that. This book really opened my eyes to the world we live in today, prenancy, hard relationships, etc and made me realize that drugs is no way start a new chapter in life. Think twice, always think twice.
Kristina, the main character of the book, is a sweet girl who gets good grades and is very respectful to her parents, but then there's Bree, the girl who takes Crystal Meth, is very crazy and wild and disrespects her parents. Did I tell you that they're the same person? Yes, it's a girl with two different personalities but that's not the point. The point is that it's okay to have two different personalities, especially if you're a teen, just trying to find yourself but I believe that you have to choose at some point, but Kristina/Bree waited too late. The poem on page 182, call "I Still Wasn't Down When We Landed" just hit me because I thought that once she had fun spending time with Bree, she would decide what kind of person she wanted to be, but that didn't happen. To be honest, in my opinion, the poem was just a waste of time until i read the last two lines...
" Kristina had seen it all before. Kristina was home.
Bree saw it all through new eyes. Bree was a stranger."
I was really digging this part because of the way she formatted the whole thing but then I read the lines and I was like so confused. You might say, if you've read the book, that it was way to early for Kristina/Bree to realize who she wanted to become but let me tell you this. Have you ever had a moment in which you wanted to say something but it was too late? To me, it's just like that. You can't wait too late or else everything just falls out of place.
Another poem that I noticed a
lot of creativity was on page 191 and it's call "Home Sweet Home". The poem was written as if it was a house,(visually) and on the top of the house, it was talking about Kristina's home and on the bottom, it was split in half, one side talking about Kristina and one side talking about Bree. This happens to be one of my favorite poems in the book and the thing about it is that it's talking about how she need to find Kristina but forget Bree but if you read on, she doesn't really take it to consideration. Yes, it's okay to say something but to do it, is another thing so who knows if Kristina/Bree was being serious about saying that, at the time but still, don't say things you don't mean.
So in my honest opinion, the overral message of this book is to not take drugs, unless you would like to wind up like Kristina/Bree, and that to never find yourself when it's too late. It's okay to have two personalities, there's no judging on that, but you can never live two worlds without risking the other. Look at Hannah Montanna, the show on ( or that use to be on) Disney Channel. Miley couldn't handle being Hannah anymore so she chose to give up Hannah, and got into the college she wanted to go to all along. That's probably the good thing out of the situation and honestly, if Kristina decided to give up Bree once in for all, you know how happy she would be, and her family, for making the right decisions? In reality, things didn't go that way but it was one mistake that's a learning experience to others. So be the smart cookie and don't destroy the most valuable things you have, like Kristina/Bree. Be the person who says no to drugs and make the good decisions, for you and your family.

Just by reading the title of the blog post, I knew that I wouldn't regret reading it. I nominate Thai Singer's blog post to be an all-star mentor, because the way she conducted her thoughts, to first writing about the book, but then comparing it to her personal view of the term "love at first sight" was truly amazing. Her post grabbed all my attention and when I would get lost, I was urging to regain the focus and in my life, I have never had a blog post that made me feel that way. It was truly fascinating to read and I love it! Thai expressed her voice and her inner self throughout her blog post and that was what made it shine.

Editing this blog post, would make seem and sound GREAT! I nominate Amanda Pagan's blog post to be an all-star mentor, because of the fact that her blog post is uses a format that I have never seen before and that it was fun reading it. Instead of her starting out with questions, relating to what the blog post is about, she started out by saying this... "This book is very complex." She then added what her book was about and then continued on her way. It was something that I've never seen in a blog post before and it came out great. Her voice stood out and her comparing the book to the movies was great. The last paragraph was my favorite part....
"I don't think this show is a about good vrs evil but more like accepting who you are and just going with the flow. its up to you if you want to do something about that "power". Nobody's perfect. You cant expect one person to change the world. Yeah sure being called a hero is a good thing, but i guess at the end of the day its just a title you put on someone. being a hero is not a skill. you cant go to school and learn about it. When I started to read this blog post, I thought that this was just going to be just some orinary blog post about the book she's reading. But then I continued reading and then, she wrote this...
"Janie gets depressed and some of the time, into a lot of trouble. Janie doesn't want to talk to anyone about it because she's afraid society will judge her and not believe her. Janie is stuck in a deep hole and can't find her way out of it." This really touched me because I can relate to this feeling.As this blog post went on, she made guesses to figure out what was going on with Janie, just like the way my friends try to figure me out. I appreciate Hallie more for writing about Janie and her issues because now I can look back, reflect and compare. Thanks Hallie so much, your blog post deserves 5 out of 5 stars. Picture Poem
The Colorful Being
How colorful & unqiue that unicorn appears.
Just one look at the beautiful being,
And my eyes just knew that I falling in love.
How she flows with the colors,
And the way the color flows with her,
It's amazing that my eyes laid upon her.
My favorite color bursts out from the others.
The way it shapes her back to her hind legs,
It reminds me, reminds me of the little girl I used to be.
Remembering playing with my toy unicorn.
Waving her up in the air.
Pink hiar and white fur,
Pinkie, is what she was called.
The colorful picture reflects Pinkie.
Pinkie reflects on the colorful picture.
That little girl is still inside of me, and yes,
it's absolutely true.

Willow by Julia Hoban (Beginning)
Stress gets to everyone and I understand that. Sometimes, life brings you down, even though it wasn't you to blame, and I understand that too. But is putting yourself down makes you feel good about yourself? Is cutting yourself; making yourself bleed in pain, is for your advantage?
Willow, by Julia Hoban is about a girl name Willow Randall who kills her parents driving on a rainy day, in March. So she secretly cuts herself, to release all the pain. She's now a new girl, in a new school and also is working at a library, at a university. She just recently met Guy( the boy's name) and just confessed what happen to her parents.
We all have those complicated moments when life turns in a different direction and it's not what it seemed to be. Sometimes, we get so stressed out or upset, we kill or even hang ourselves and sometimes, we even take it upon the people we care or love the most. Hopefully, everyone hears this when I say that you're not alone. I'll admit, I have cried days and nights, stressing over little things that are going in my life but I don't let that get to me. I never, in my life, went to the extreme like what Willow did. I just keep reminding myself that I can pass through those challenges. Life would be okay and to get rid of all those tears of depression, and make sure that in the future, i have a happy, joyful life. 'Cause I know, for sure that I don't want to be rolling my eyes out, about the past, and not moving forward.
Hopefully, through this book, Willow would finally open her eyes and change her ways for the better. I understand that she must be destroyed inside but that was seven months ago. She needs to let go of the past and make sure her future is bright. And as the book said, "it's hard to keep a secret when it's written all over your body."

The Beginning of Prada & Prejudice by Mandy Habbard
Prada & Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard is a book where once you start reading it, you just can't stop. To me, this book has so much character and feeling that you can actually relate to this book in so many different ways. This book really grabs you and makes sure your attention is fully on it, which doesn't happen in my life often. Anyway, for just finished reading the first 3 chapters, this book is off to a good start.
So far, it's about a girl name Callie who convinces her mom to spend her summer in England,( and not with her dad, which she does every year) and hates it there. She misses her best friend Katie, is hated by most of the cheerleaders in her school and desperately wants a friend, specifically a girl name Mindy, who hangs around with the most popular girl in her school, Angela.
In between chapters 2 and 3, Callie brought some Prada shoes, which she apparently "wobbles on the cobblestones, trips in her too-high heels, and conks her head" and suddenly whines up where trees are everywhere. She then stresses herself out by saying...
"This isn't fair. I didn't do anything to deserve this. Angela should be the one showcasing her survival skills. She made fun of me. Karma is supposed to catch up with things like that, not kick me down when I'm down.
Today is officially the worst day of my life. Why did I have to talk my mom into letting me go to England? She was right. I wasn't ready for a foreign country" and blah blah blah.
Honestly, my advice for Callie is that she should relax see what her future lies 'cause stressing things out leads no one anywhere, and that's the other thing. Whenever kids, or maybe even adults, come into a dead end, why do they panic/stress out? People should know by now that the outcome is a- not very delightful or b- get killed. I may sound like I'm taking the situation as a joke but I'm really not. Instead of opening their eyes to new possibilities, they panic and do something crazy which whines them up to nowhere so take the advice. It's very useful to people these days.
"If the shoe fits, wear it-and if you're in the mood for an awesome romance, this is definitely the shoe for you," said Lauren Myracle, New York Times bestselling author of TTYL. That's just the thing I need to hear about a book, to get me really interested it, alot. Most books don't catch my eyes really often but if this book did, imagine the possibilites so I really should get back to ready this book. So far, it's one of the best books I've read in a long time and I hope you can read it too, to feel the excitment I'm having once your shoes "wobbles" upon it.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book #5
Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book #5 by Jeff Kinney is probably one of the most funniest books in his series. I just finished this book yesterday and to tell the truth, i really enjoy it, like when I reread The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. Everytime I found out a new book was coming out from the series, I always found a way to get the book and was ready for the comedy within the book.
Some people might say that this book was only meant for boys and some might say it's not but I believe that this book is meant for everyone who needs a laugh or two in their life. I recommend this book to people who goes to school, almost everyday, so stressed out. This series helped me through the day & I hope it did for you too,(if you've ever read the series.)
This book is about how Greg and Rowley not being best friends anymore because of a fight that happened over the summer, his mom going back to college & about some other things that happens during the school year that are really hilarious, but generally, they mostly talk about Rowley & Greg.
There's one part in the book that really caught my attention. Right before the book's about to begin, there's a picture that was really unexplainable & even my friends that even saw the picture. I was really curious to what was the history behind the picture until I almost finished the book. Greg & a few of his peers from school was having a Lock-In, which was when his school was a having a sleep over party but in my opinion, it really sounded like a boring party. Anyway, during this so called "party," they were playing this game called "Guess Who?" So the object of the game was to take a picture of a body part and let the other team guess what was the picture. Little did they know that the teachers thought that the picture was someone's posterior. It was really a picture of this kid's bended arm but I started to crack up when I read that part. It was really hilarious and I really love this series.
I wish that the series would never end, but eventually it has to, so take a weird photo, go to a wedding or something and sit back and relax while reading one of the most funniest books you'll ever read in your entire life.
